About Us
Our Beginning
Maurice and Dawn Samuels founded By Dawn’s Early Light Home Care Services in 2015. They both have such a love and respect for those that are vulnerable with home care needs.
At a young age Dawn watched her mother battle every stage of breast cancer, during a time home based services such as: private duty home care, hospice services, and palliative care were not an option. As a result Dawn watched her mother lose her battle with cancer in a hospital setting and not in the comfort of her own home.
Dawn obtained her acute care certification with phlebotomy in 1994. She has 27 years of combined experience in care giving with acute care patients, hospice care, training in proper techniques with all assited devices, case management, and maintaining client relations. Although Maurice’s background has been primarily in home restoration, he has a great respect for our aging and disable population and believes that all people no matter their economic status deserve outstanding care.
Maurice and Dawn have very high standards when selecting their caregivers. Also hold them to a high regard as they are the heart of our agency. By Dawn’s Early Light Home Care Services is setting new standards in providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and affordable home care to those in need and wanting to stay in their home wherever they call home.

Agency Director
Cameron Samuels
Cameron Samuels serves as the Agency Director at By Dawn’s Early Light Home Care Services, where he leads the administrative team with dedication and vision. With a strong background in business administration, Cameron plays a key role in developing and implementing policies and procedures that drive organizational success and ensure a high standard of workplace excellence.
Known for his positive attitude and relentless energy, Cameron is a motivating presence within the company. He is passionate about empowering his colleagues, fostering growth, and encouraging a culture of hard work and achievement.
Outside of his professional life, Cameron draws daily inspiration from his wife, Hannah, their son Aubrey, and their two dogs, June and Theo. In his free time, he enjoys taking walks, spending quality time with his family, and watching football and basketball.
Office Administrator
Adam Shue
Adam started working with our agency in 2021 as a Care Coordinator.
Adam is responsible for maintaining staff/client relations, policy compliance, and scheduling detail.
Adam has very effective problem solving skills, and is Motivated by his wife and two children to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Nurse Care Coordinator
Hannah Samuels
Hannah Samuels serves as the Nurse Care Coordinator at By Dawn’s Early Light Home Care Services, where she oversees and manages home care clients who require nursing services through MI Choice Waiver Program. In this role, she ensures that clients receive high-quality, personalized care tailored to their individual needs.
Hannah earned her Registered Nurse (RN) degree from Lake Michigan College and brings extensive experience in emergency nursing and care coordination. Her clinical expertise, combined with her strong organizational skills, allows her to effectively support both clients and care teams.
Driven by a passion for compassionate care, Hannah is committed to improving the well-being and quality of life of those she serves.
Outside of her professional role, Hannah enjoys reading, crafting floral arrangements, and spending time with her husband Cameron, their son Aubrey, and their two dogs, June and Theo.
